Deliver the Dream Now Accepting Healthcare Partner Applications
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. –Deliver the Dream (DTD) recently announced the commencement of its healthcare partner application process for the 2011 calendar year.
DTD hosts monthly 4-day weekend retreats for up to 15 families. Every retreat focuses on a different illness or crisis, such as Cancer, HIV/AIDS, Sickle Cell or Cerebral Palsy. Families that are invited on a retreat are referred to DTD by a healthcare partner, such as a hospital or health organization. The retreats are provided at no cost to participants and enable those they help to regain strength, mend spirits, and just be families and kids again.
Currently, DTD is accepting applications from healthcare institutions or organizations throughout the Southeast United States that help families who have a child or parent with a serious illness or crisis. This means, nurses, doctors, social workers or employees of another non profit can contact DTD to get more information on how they can offer the families that frequent their establishments a DTD retreat weekend. The application deadline is June 1, 2010. Click here to download the application.
DTD’s 2010 partners include the University of Florida Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic, Baptist Health, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, American Cancer Society, Mission Children’s Hospital, Hospice by the Sea, CARDCenter and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Deliver the Dream, Inc. is a non-profit respite and retreat program that serves families facing serious illness or crisis by helping them to enhance coping skills, reduce stress, and cultivate relationships. Founded by Pat Moran, former chairman of JM Family Enterprises, Inc. Deliver the Dream offers retreat weekends, which help families with an ill child and also reaches out to families with an ill parent.More than 4,200 family members throughout the Southeast have attended a Deliver the Dream weekend since retreats began in the Fall of 2002.
